Mochibana Decoration Set Papercraft

A mochibana decoration is a Japanese good luck charm displayed for New Year celebrations (usually the Lunar New Year), comprised of small, round pieces of mochi (pounded rice cakes) and dango (rice dumplings) hung on a willow branch or other tree branch. It symbolizes hope for affluence and a rich harvest. Pink and white mochi is often used in Japanese lucky items, and this one also features feathers which represent safety and good health, a spinning top to encourage wealth to come "spinning" your way, the "mallet of luck" which brings fortune when shaken and is seen in the hand of Daikoku, god of agricultural fertility-Canon
